Two GSG PhDs win ACLS Fellowships
Catherine Jampel (Ph.D. 2019) and Kelly Kay (Ph.D. 2016) have been awarded fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies
Two recent Clark Geography Ph.D.s, Catherine Jampel (Ph.D. 2019) and Kelly Kay (Ph.D. 2016) have been awarded fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies. Both plan to use the support from the prestigious awards to work full-time on scholarly monographs based on their research. Dr. Jampel, currently a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability at the State University of New York at Oneonta, will be writing Scales of Inclusion: Disability and Labor in The Twenty-First Century. Dr. Kay, currently an Assistant Professor in the Geography Department at UCLA, will be writing Landscapes of Finance: Time, Timber, and the Fate of US Forest-Dependent Communities.
