Tianyi (Teddy) Yang Earns the Anniversary Award in the Protein Society 35th Annual Symposium

Ph.D. student's work could benefit future drug design to remove disease-causing proteins.

To encourage young scientists to participate and benefit from the annual symposium, the Protein Society awards undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs who present a poster or present a talk in the annual symposium. Teddy presented a poster entitled “Dynamic features of the unactivated  c-Cbl”. Under the direction of Professor Huo, Teddy has investigated c-Cbl, an E3 ligase, conformational transitions using computer simulations. His work provides insights into the role of protein dynamics in the process of protein degradation, which would benefit future drug design to remove disease-causing proteins.
