Brian Libby and historian Thomas Kuehne describe the ideals and realities of masculinity and comradeship among German youth and soldiers during World War II. |

Ashley Borell spent two weeks in June 2004 helping to reclaim a cemetery on the site of the former concentration camp where her grandmother and great-aunt had been imprisoned during World War II. |

Claude Kaitare witnessed history first-hand. In 1994 he fled Rwanda after the genocide that took place in his country, and came to live in Maine. In a recent interview Claude described the outreach he has undertaken to raise awareness of genocide. |

Sara Brown '05 undertook a summer internship in Rwanda. She described how the internship allowed her to use what she had learned about
genocide in her classes to help with the reconciliation process going on in Rwanda. |
