This is a postcard from the Third Reich period, presumably printed in the 1930s, depicting a classical figure that harks back to the medieval and at the same time National Socialist context. 

The front text is a printed message of propaganda that reads: “Sacrifice Book of the War Auxiliary. 1939/1940. This form will now conquer this kingdom and steel and ashes will be sacrificed. – Adolf Hitler”
