There is no written text on the postcard. It includes an illustration of Carl Peters, his signature, and the following informational information regarding him:  

• “Das Deutschtum ist groß und stark, und wenn es zusammenhält ist es unbesiegbar” (The Germandom is great and strong, and if it holds together it is invincible). This is a nationalist and unifying message used during the war.
