The illustration on the front depicts a young child with blonde hair and angel wings. They are dressed in a military top hat with a swastika armband, and carrying a spear, arrows, and a horn. This represents a blend of traditional imagry with Nazi propganda: a juxtaposition of a pure, innocent indiviudal embodying the state’s ideals. The illustrate also has a sled that appears to be carrying a large loaf of bread or similar food item, symbolizing aid. The text on the postcard includes the signature of “H. Stockmann” on the bottom right of this postcard, and “Winterhilfswerk 1934-35” writtena cross the bottom for the Winter Relief Fund campaign.
