Entitled “Herzliche Weihnachts- Und Neujahrsgrüße vom Westwall,” which translates to “Merry Christmas and a happy Yew Year from the western wall.” The western wall, or “Siegfried Line,” extended from the Netherlands to Switzerland, providing an effective boundary against Germany’s opponents.
