- Applicants from any area of social science
- Highly motivated / interested in education policy, technology policy, criminal justice policy, healthcare policy, environmental policy, non-profit management
- Top student standing
- Interest in pursuing a career in the public interest
- Demonstrated their interest through work, volunteer experience, or research

Description
A full-tuition scholarship for two years of study at H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University in one of the above areas, plus research assistantship with one of the faculty members. The Heinz School provides graduate training leading to careers in the public interest.

Award
Full tuition remission and a research assistantship in the amount of $2,000.
