The A-Series RocketThis is a drawing of typical A-series rocket. The A-series rockets were created by Dr. Goddard from January 15, 1935 through October 29, 1935. Rocket A-4, which was launched on March 8, 1935, was the first rocket to travel at the speed of sound. This drawing is from the book Retro Rockets and is provided by its author, Peter Alway.
