Calendar Years 2008 - 2010
A public fire log, consisting of chronologically recorded fire information, is maintained at the University Police department's office and can be viewed during regular business hours. It includes:
- Nature of the fire
- Date
- Time
- General location
Definition of a Fire
Any instance of open flame or other burning in a place not intended to contain the burning or in an uncontrolled manner.
Reported Fires: Calendar Years 2008, 2009 and 2010
2008
January 2, 2008, approximately 11:06 a.m., University Police responded to Wright Hall. Found a burned plastic cup in a microwave. No injuries reported.
September 23, 2008, approximately 2:40 a.m., University Police responded to the University Center. Found a burnt kiln device and water on the floor. No injuries reported.
November 26, 2008, approximately. 4:57 a.m., University Police responded to Wright Hall and found burnt paper/plastic covering in the hallway. No injuries reported.
2009
February 13, 2009, approximately 10:05 a.m., University Police responded to 934 main St and found smoke from the toaster over. No injuries reported.
February 15, 2009, approximately 9:52 p.m., University Police responded to Wright Hall and found firecrackers inside a wastebasket. No injuries reported.
September 17, 2009, approximately 4:51 p.m., University Police responded to 70 Florence St. Found cooking oil fire. Person reported slight burn on the arm. Damage was $8,927.32.
2010
August 2, 2010, approximately 10:06 a.m. University Police responded to the Dolan Athletic Fields. Found area on tennis courts burned and approximately 30 feet of bench burned with accelerant. Physical Plant cleaned off with no monetary damage.
