Student Email

Undergraduate, Graduate day college, and GSOM students have mailboxes on one of Clark's provided electronic mail servers. Clark University sends you electronic communications using this account. Your account can be accessed in any computer lab on campus, from a personally-owned computer in your residence hall, or away through either ClarkMail or a variety of email programs, sometimes referred to as email clients.

Web-Based Email

ITS offers a web-based email interface called ClarkMail which allows you to access your email account via a web browser without configuring any settings or software.


Client Based Software

Your student email can be retrieved using a number of different email clients such as Windows Mail, Entourage on a Mac, ThunderBird, even mobile devices. All you need are the connection settings outlined below and the manufacturer directions provided along with your Clark Account email address, username and password

Autosync/Autodiscover

For any service that uses autodiscover or autosync, use the format below when entering your username and email address

Username Format:

  • username@clarku.edu

Email Address Format:

  • username@muse.clarku.edu

Exchange ActiveSync Setting

  • Server name: m.outlook.com

IMAP setting

  • Server name: pod51008.outlook.com
  • Port: 993
  • Encryption method: SSL

POP setting

  • Server name: pod51008.outlook.com
  • Port: 995
  • Encryption method: SSL

SMTP setting

  • Server name: pod51008.outlook.com
  • Port: 587
  • Encryption method: TLS
