Housing Lottery
Room Selection
Housing Selection consists of the five processes listed at the left.  Which process is best for you depends on your current housing assignment, your future housing needs, and your interest level in the various housing options available.  Please read the information provided here to help you decide which process fits your needs best.  For complete details about Lottery and Housing Selection, download and print the 2008 Housing Selection Guide.

Special Interest Housing Selection

Deadline: March 31, 2008

Three of the Clark owned houses and two residence hall floors are designated as Special Interest Housing Options.  Students interested in Special Interest Housing can choose from the following programs: "Wellness House", "Year-Round/Winter Break House", or "Quiet House".

Quiet House

2 Downing Street will remain the "Quiet House". The students and staff who reside here recognize the shared responsibility on the part of all residents to consistently give priority to quiet academic pursuits. There are 28 spaces available in the Quiet House.

Year Round/ Winter Break House

21 Maywood Street will be the "Year-Round/Winter Break House" option. Students wishing to live in 21 Maywood will only have the option of signing a "Year- Round" or "Winter Break" contract. There are 15 spaces available for year round housing. Please only sign-up for this housing option if you intend to stay for at least one of the two break periods. The "Year-Round" contract will allow you to reside in 21 Maywood Street during the summer or winter break periods (approximately 18 additional weeks). This 12-month contract will begin at closing in May 2008 and continue until closing in May 2009. There will be an additional cost of $1000 for a 12-month single room and an additional cost of $825 for a 12-month double space. Students will also have the option of signing a "Winter Break" contract allowing them to reside in 21 Maywood Street during the winter/semester break. This winter break contract will begin at December closing, 2008 and continue until January opening 2009. There will be an additional cost of $250 for a winter break double room space and an additional cost of $300 for a single room.

Wellness Living

23 Maywood Street will be the "Wellness House". The residents, in conjunction with the RA, will be committed to maintaining an environment that remains free from alcohol, smoking, and illicit drugs at all times. Students found in violation of the Wellness House policies may be relocated to a new housing assignment. 23 Maywood offers 16 spaces for wellness living.  Johnson Hall second and third floor will also be designated as “Wellness Floors”.  Johnson Hall offers an additional 96 spaces including 14 singles and 40 doubles in both suite and non-suite living options.
