Medical Requests

Any student with a documented medical concern can request special housing accommodations by providing the following information to the Office of Residential Life and Housing by 4:00 p.m. Monday March 10, 2008 along with a completed housing request packet including signed Housing Contract:

1. A letter stating the specific medical condition, the specific housing need that it requires, and why a specific room is requested.



2. Medical documentation from a health care professional supporting the request.

A committee of Residential Life Staff and Health Services Staff will review the information. All information will be strictly confidential. A response to each request will be communicated through campus e-mail by March 24, 2008.

Handicap accessible rooms are located in Maywood Street Hall in suites 109 and 111.  There are also
handicapped units available in Blackstone Hall suites 101, 307 and 405.

Please note: A granted request will guarantee that a particular accommodation will be available. The location cannot be guaranteed, unless related to the medical need. Medical singles are charged the same rate as non-medical single rooms.
