Current Research Interests

  • Multi-hazard threat, risk and vulnerability assessment and mitigation approaches for buildings and critical infrastructure.
  • Holistic building performance, with a focus on minimizing competing objectives of 'green' and 'safety' performance of buildings.
  • Risk-informed performance-based building and fire regulations and design methods.
  • Human behavior and evacuation modeling.
