IDCE Students Profiles
Anne Hendrixson (IDSC '08)
Anne Hendrixson (IDSC ‘08) is currently the assistant project coordinator for aids2031. As an IDSC student, she was challenged to think beyond her previous research and work experience within the sexual and reproductive health field and encouraged to engage with broader development ideas, histories, and contexts.
IDSC faculty pushed me to anticipate complexity in thought and action, which has helped support the many streams of work and partnerships in aids2031.
Anne was hired as a research assistant for aids2031 as a student and then was hired permanently when she moved to New York to coordinate the project management unit there.
In my work I’ve been able to exercise the analytic, project management, and problem-solving skills I sharpened as a student while in the company of the very diverse IDCE faculty and student body.
Anne continues to connect with members of the IDCE family as part of aids2031, including alumni Anne Murenha (IDSC ‘08), Brandon Cohen (IDSC ‘09), Nancy Goedhart (IDSC ‘09), Asha Singh (ES&P ‘09), Alexis Close (IDSC ‘09), and Sheela Pradhan (IDSC ‘08), who have all worked on the project during the three year grant period both domestically and abroad.
