1. Please describe your present professional position? Please include the URL
of your organization.
As Program Manager for TransitWorks,
I'm responsible for undertaking our research and outreach efforts while
coordinating the program's administration, developing our work plan, fundraising
and other responsibilities.
2. What do you find satisfying about your position?
I find both the mix of responsibilities satisfying and the end result:
positively impacting transit quality and transit use.
3. How did the CDP program at Clark University help to prepare you?
The CDP program provided both the background knowledge and the skill set for the
work I'm doing. I learned about urban issues and policies while developing
skills in writing, research and collaboration.
4. Why should prospective students enroll in the CDP program at Clark
University?
The CDP program provides skills and knowledge that can serve as a base for many
applications within community development. For me, its emphasis on equity issues
and community involvement helped me realize the kind of community development
practitioner I want to be and that I think communities deserve.
5. What was the topic of your research while at Clark University?
"The challenges and benefits of university and community research partnerships"
