Our countdown continues, with only three weeks until Reunion Weekend!
This week we’re celebrating the Class of ’09, who threw their caps in the air 15 years ago!
That same year, Barack Obama was sworn in as the first African American U.S. President. Uber was founded in San Francisco, Bitcoin was traded for the first time, and all 1,600 television stations in the U.S. switched from analog to digital transmission. Hollywood awarded “Slumdog Millionaire” with the Oscar for Best Picture, and “Avatar” hit theatres, overthrowing “The Titanic” as the highest-grossing film of all time.
What’s your favorite memory from 2009? Tell us in the comments and tag a classmate or two!
Don’t forget to sign up for Reunion Weekend (link in bio) before registration closes on May 6.
