On September 25, the Department hosted the annual Graduate Poster Session, where fourth-year Ph.D. students presented their ongoing research. After the faculty cast their votes, Abhishek Mallick was selected as this year’s winner of the Best Poster Prize. Abhishek is working on international trade, and he presented a paper, “Rebate or Subsidy?: General Equilibrium Analysis of Semiconductor Tariff and Controls with Krugman–EK Model.” In this work, he developed a quantitative trade model with firms and studied how different trade and industrial policies shape the number of firms and aggregate prices. Congratulations, Abhishek!
