Solana Huang

Solana Huang is a current student in the MS GIS program at Clark University. She also holds an Sc.B. in Geo-Physics from Brown University. At CGA, she is a Research Assistant working on the pond aquaculture mapping project.

After earning her undergraduate degree, she joined Maxar Technologies as an Imagery Analyst working on Precision 3D products. She also served as a GIS Specialist on the Con Edison eGIS team. In these roles, she supported large scale quality control and quality assurance efforts for DTM, DSM, and electrical distribution utility maps. Her desire to unite her background in mathematical modeling of natural phenomena such as volcanic eruptions and her interest in leveraging geospatial technologies to better understand our environment leads her to pursue her graduate studies at Clark. At Clark, she has learned critical skills necessary to apply advanced remote sensing and spatial modeling to environmental hazard monitoring.
