Welcome from the Dean
Welcome to Clark University's Graduate School of Management (GSOM) virtual window to the world.
GSOM is a close-knit community with world class quality of instruction and research. Our mission is to make a difference in your life. We are here to help facilitate your learning and critical thinking when it comes to business issues. We aim to enrich your life in ways beyond a typical graduate school or MBA education.
We are living in a dynamic and increasingly global environment. The complexities of the world of for-profit or non-profit, small or large, private or public organizations require that we have the necessary management and leadership skills. We not only have to manage people, but processes, technologies, capital, and relationships. Thinking beyond traditional silos is easier in our learning environment. We break down silos in our school because we are small and intimate. We offer you the opportunity and flexibility to investigate and research in many directions.
We encourage our students to also break down the walls of the traditional MBA education. Reaching out to the community and building relationships across institutional and social boundaries is an important aspect of our environment. Do not be afraid to span the boundaries of GSOM for the next few semesters.
Yes, we seek to help our students build their basic management skills. GSOM seeks to raise our students' global savvy and social awareness. New international business and management programs, the latest thoughts in leadership, sustainability and social issues are all part of the curriculum. For a small school we operate with a global perspective.
