Thoughts about HERO: HERO is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to be part of large-scale, team-based research. The research program presents unique opportunities not possible in a conventional classroom, such as working one-on-one with faculty, and becoming an expert on a specific and important human-environmental issue. As a Mosakowski-HERO Fellow, I look forward to expanding my HERO research to include political implications and policy suggestions.
