Micky Roberts is the Associate Dean of Students for Student Success Initiatives at Clark University, responsible for developing, overseeing, and supporting critical strategic initiatives to provide holistic supports and promote student engagement, persistence and success. Her various teaching roles over the last 26 years have allowed her to appreciate the complexity of being an educator and administrator, and the importance of being a dedicated role-model. She has a significant background in disability services, tutoring supports, academic advising, program development/assessment, and teaching. Specific areas of expertise include developing academic and social support programs, first-year experience programming, retention and strategic planning, staff supervision and training, and crisis intervention/risk-assessment.
Her thoughtful and responsive style of leadership includes a focus on evidence-based and data-informed practice as well as continual evaluation, improvement, and advocacy. Her experiences have taught her the importance of creating a strong sense of community, support and acceptance while also addressing broader institutional issues and opportunities for growth and development. Helping students and staff achieve personally and academically by modeling responsibility, service and integrity have been the most important aspects of her various roles in education.
Micky earned her M.Ed. Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University, and her B.A. in Psychology, Social Psychology Concentration from Southern New Hampshire University.
