international center logoClark is excited to welcome international students to campus on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, a few days before the undergraduate and graduate Orientations begin.

International Student Welcome (ISW) provides you with the opportunity to build friendships with other international students and get to know campus. You also will receive important information that will help you be successful during your time at Clark.

ISW is required for all international students and is optional for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are living outside of the U.S.

2024 International Student Welcome Schedule

Arrive on campus and settle in. The International Center will be open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. Campus Tours

Meet at the International Center (142 Woodland Street) for a tour of Clark’s campus!

5 p.m. Airport Pickup

From Boston Logan International Airport to the International Center. Register using this link.

10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Check-In*

Location: Tilton Hall (second floor of the University Center)

Come to Tilton Hall (second floor of the University Center) to check in for ISW, pick up your OneCard, submit your transcripts to Graduate Admissions, and get other important information for your time at Clark.

10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Campus Tours

Meet at Tilton Hall after you check in for a tour of Clark’s campus!

*indicates that attendance is expected/required as a part of ISW.

11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Welcome Lunch

Location: Tilton Hall

Join the International Center, President Fithian, and Provost Royo for a Welcome Brunch. Doors open at 10:00am and will close at 10:30 a.m., or until we reach capacity. Attendance is first-come, first-served.

1 – 4 p.m. Information Sessions*

Location: Jefferson 320

After brunch, the International Center and other campus partners will be presenting international students with important information you need in order to be successful during your time as a student at Clark.

4 – 5:30 p.m. Global Mentorship Program Mixer and Meet Your Peer Mentor! (Undergraduate Students Only)*

Location: The Grind (basement of the University Center)

Immediately following the Information Sessions, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to build community with one another and meet their International Center Global Mentorship Program mentor, Winnie Spillers. At the end of the event, your Orientation Peer Mentors will come to meet you and get you ready for the start of Orientation!

11 – 4 p.m. Library Tour

Location: Gordon Library

Meet at Gordon Library for a complete tour of Clark’s library to get to know the features the library offers! Library to get to know it’s features.

3 – 4 p.m. Makeup Immigration Session

Location: TBD

As a new international student, you have many tasks to complete before coming to Clark: ensuring you have health insurance; securing on-campus or off-campus housing; and completing the ISW Registration and Airport Pickup forms.
