Study Abroad
If you are interested in study abroad during your junior year, some of Clark's programs are more suitable than others. The most suitable programs for ES majors are Murdoch University in Perth, Australia and University of East Anglia, England.
In addition, the Semester in Environmental Science is offered in the fall by the Ecosystems Center at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, Mass. Students enrolled in SES receive four units of credit for participation in this research-intensive academic program.
Information about application deadlines for these programs is available from the Study Abroad program office.
Students may also pursue a European Joint Masters in Quality in Analytical Laboratories. The program includes one year of classes and a one-semester research project and thesis. Host universities rotate among five participating universities in Portugal, Spain, Norway and Poland. Students take one year of classes in the host university and then move to another participating university in a different country for six months of research.
Students in the ECB and ESS tracks should check out the Biology and Geography web pages, respectively, for additional opportunities.
