Important Dates and Deadlines for Graduate Students

The deadlines for manuscript submissions via online submission through the ETD Administrator to the Graduate Arts and Sciences office are indicated below. Individual departments may have earlier deadlines for completion, so be sure to check with your department assistant.

Graduate degrees are conferred three times during the academic year (August, December, and May). Students who receive their degrees in August and December and those enrolled for the spring semester who submit their completed dissertation or thesis to the Graduate Arts and Sciences office by the May deadline will be eligible to participate in Commencement in May. Commencement-related information will be emailed to student’s Clark email accounts in February.

*The preliminary pages of your dissertation/thesis, which are the title page through the first page of your manuscript must be submitted in a Word document to the Graduate School Office (gradschool@clarku.edu) for a formatting check one week prior to the deadline to upload your final dissertation/thesis to ProQuest.

**These due dates are dependent upon the Requirements Complete Form submission deadline set by the Registrar’s Office and are, therefore, subject to change. Graduating students will be notified of any changes in deadlines as early as possible, so please check your Clark email regularly.
