• Drug-Free Workplace Policy

    Pursuant to the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989, as a recipient of federal funds, Clark University is required to adopt a policy with specific provisions that prohibit the unlawful cultivation, manufacture, dispensation, distribution, possession, use, and/or sale of illicit drugs[1] and alcohol in the workplace.

    The purpose of the University’s Parental Leave Policy (the “Policy”) is to provide assistance in the form of relief from teaching obligations to faculty members who are the primary caregiver to their newborn, newly adopted children or children placed in foster care with a Faculty member.

  • Staff Parental Leave of Absence Policy

    Effective January 1, 2016, regular full and part-time staff eligible for Family Medical Leave (FMLA), defined as having worked at Clark University for at least one year and/or a minimum of 1,250 hours during the previous 12 months, will be eligible to apply for up to eight weeks of paid parental leave.

    Clark University complies with the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA) and Massachusetts laws related to hazing. Clark prohibits all hazing that meets either the federal definition of hazing under the SCHA or the Massachusetts definition of hazing. Hazing violates this policy and may also violate Massachusetts state law.
