The associate provost and dean of the faculty oversees and supports mentoring, professional development, and leadership opportunities for faculty.

The dean provides administrative support for the University’s humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and STEM departments and programs. She works closely with the provost, the associate provost and dean of the college, and the associate provost and dean of research and graduate studies.

Meet the Dean

In addition to her administrative duties, Esther Jones is a member of the English Department faculty. She is also the E. Franklin Frazier Chair of African American Literature, Theory, and Culture.

Faculty Mentoring Program

Being a new faculty member is both exciting and stressful. Clark has a support program for mentoring new faculty; all first-year tenure-track faculty will be assigned mentors prior to their arrival at Clark.

New Faculty Orientation

Orientation for new tenure-track faculty will take place on August 19 and 20, 2019. Further orientations are being planned by the dean of the faculty.
