Speaker Bio

Elżbieta Gozdziak is a migration scholar and current Visiting Professor at her alma mater, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Poland. She formerly worked as a Research Professor at the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University. In the fall of 2016, she served as the George Soros Visiting Professor in Public Policy at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Her research interests include immigration integration, norms and values, migrant children, human trafficking, global health, the medicalization of human suffering, and health disparities, and has worked in Poland, Thailand, Indonesia, Slovenia, and Italy.
