Speaker Bio

Dr. Graeme Rodgers is a Senior Researcher at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), focusing on resettlement, asylum, and integration. His academic and applied research has focused on humanitarianism and development in post-conflict settings, and on the local social dynamics of “durable solutions” in contexts of voluntary repatriation, local integration, and resettlement. He trained in anthropology in South Africa, where he obtained a Ph.D. from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Dr. Rodgers has taught at universities in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and has conducted field-based research studies across Africa, Asia, and the U.S.
