A cohort of sophomores helping faculty design Clark University’s new honors experience is keeping an important question in mind: How can we create an above-and-beyond academic program that draws intellectually curious students while adhering to the Clarkie ethos of inclusivity?

Clark undergraduate students already have many opportunities for experiential learning and academic honors through courses, research, and projects — like this biology class that visited a beach in Nahant, Mass., to investigate marine life. The all-university honors experience, set to launch next fall, would present another option for students who seek to dive deeper into their scholarship.
