According to the 2023 Arctic Report Card, released this week with a chapter co-authored by @clarkpolarscience professor Karen Frey, human-caused climate warming continues to impact people, ecosystems, and communities across the region.

The report details how more frequent extreme weather and climate events are transforming the Arctic and cites opportunities to form diverse partnerships to tackle challenges.

Frey, who teaches in the @clarkgeography department, has spent more than 25 years studying sea ice, often during the summer months aboard the Canadian vessel Sir Wilfrid Laurier (pictured above) and accompanied by undergraduate and graduate students.
