This month, Clark University became the first U.S. institution to host the Global Conference on Economic Geography — the largest international forum dedicated to the field. 🌏📗

During the conference, more than 400 economic geographers from around the world discussed topics including Indigenous self-determination, sustainable futures, cities confronting racial capitalism, and more.

According to conference organizer and @clarkgeography Professor Yuko Aoyama, economic geographers regard the Clark campus as a “pilgrimage site,” with its century-old Graduate School of Geography and the esteemed Economic Geography journal — founded by Clark President Wallace Atwood in 1925 and still based here.
