Chantal Roberts (ES&P '2013)

Chantal Roberts (USA) graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Agronomy and a minor in Political Science. While at ISU she worked as the ISU Dining Sustainability Coordinator implementing initiatives such as composting dining center food waste and “going trayless”. She also worked at Mustard Seed Farm, a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), which provides the Ames community with fresh produce and a forum in which community members can discuss issues relating to agriculture. While at Clark she researched issues of food security, specifically in Uganda, and participated in the 2012 Summer Institute on Global Food Security. She will be performing research as a U.S. Borlaug Fellow in Uganda from June 2013-June 2014. Her research interests include policy analysis related to global food systems, with a focus on understanding how and why stakeholder preferences influence technological implementation.
