{"id":8,"date":"2025-09-26T13:48:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T17:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/wellness-education\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2026-02-23T11:58:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T16:58:03","slug":"wellness-wheel","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/wellness-education\/wellness-wheel\/","title":{"rendered":"Wellness Wheel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We often only think about our health and wellness when they are compromised and tend to think that if we are not ill, then we are well.&nbsp; However, wellness is not merely the absence of suffering or illness, but the personal, meaningful, and intentional striving for positive well-being.&nbsp; Just as there are varying degrees to illness, the same is true for wellness. Wellness is never a static state, but an ongoing process and commitment of nourishing our dynamic selves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wellness Wheel encourages us to acknowledge that we are much more than we often reduce ourselves down to be \u2013 we are whole, complex, and multifaceted human beings!
