Orientation

*Please note: Based on guidelines from the CDC and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, changes to the Orientation program may occur.

Start your first college year off right during Orientation. Orientation is scheduled for August 10 through August 14, 2020 as a completely online, virtual experience.
All incoming students — residential first-year, commuter first-year, transfer, and international pathway — will move in based on the Clark University opening and testing plan. Students will receive a specific arrival appointment by mid-July. During the Orientation activities, you’ll meet friends, faculty, and peer mentors who will help shape some of the most important years of your life!

We are working on the fall 2020  schedules now, but you can get an idea of the types of activities included by looking at the fall 2019 orientation schedules below.

What to Expect

Students and families are invited to attend our virtual orientation sessions, which include a series of sessions addressing many questions related to Clark and what they, and you, should expect as you move through your first year on campus.

You will meet the orientation coordinators, your peer mentor, and classmates. Peer mentors are trained to guide you through your first few days on campus and answer any questions you may have. They don’t disappear after your online orientation with Clark — we know that orienting you to campus and supporting your transition to college is a semester-long process. You will regularly touch base with your peer mentor through the fall semester during your Clark Navigator hour.

By participating fully in the Orientation programs, you will discover the exciting opportunities waiting for you at Clark.

Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 24. If any updates to the fall 2020 calendar occur, we will communicate them to you quickly.
