class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-production\">Production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-intro\">From your first semester, you&#8217;ll have opportunities to work on real productions, connect with the professional world, and gain valuable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns sidebar is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:45rem\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-theatre-practicum-productions\">Theatre Practicum productions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each semester, the program mounts a fully produced, professionally directed theatrical production as a curriculum course. Open to all Clark students through audition or application, the practicum is where skills developed in core courses are tested in a real production context \u2014 with faculty mentorship, full technical support, and a live audience. Three practicum formats are available: the Shakespeare Practicum, the general Theatre Practicum, and Advanced Production Projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-organizations\">Student organizations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Clark University Players Society and Clark Musical Theatre mount independent productions throughout the year, giving students additional opportunities to act, direct, design, and produce outside the formal curriculum. These organizations are also natural leadership pipelines \u2014 students who take on producer, director, or stage manager roles gain project management experience that translates directly into professional life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-kennedy-center-american-collegiate-theatre-festival\">The Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theatre Festival<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every winter, Theatre Arts majors have the opportunity to attend the regional Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theatre Festival \u2014 one of the most significant gatherings of collegiate theatre in the country. It&#8217;s a chance to see peers&#8217; work, meet professionals, and get a clearer sense of where you fit in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-internships-and-regional-connections\">Internships and regional connections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Worcester&#8217;s Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts presents Broadway touring productions and offers internship and professional connections for Clark students. Western Massachusetts has a strong summer theatre culture, and students are encouraged to audition for and intern with regional programs between their junior and senior years. Theatre Arts 298 allows students to earn credit for internship work in performance, design, arts administration, and production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-company-one\">Company One<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Company One,<\/strong> one of Boston&#8217;s most respected and socially engaged theatre companies, was founded by Clark alumni \u2014 a living demonstration of what this education can lead to, and an ongoing professional network for current students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/visual-and-performing-arts\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/134\/2023-Summer-Williams-1024x683-1.jpg\" alt=\"Summer L.
