together \u2014 and that both develop faster in the real world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns sidebar is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:45rem\">\n<p>Several of the program&#8217;s most distinctive opportunities connect students to professional contexts, international perspectives, and public audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-internships\">Internships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Screen Studies students have held internships with national, regional, and local media organizations including Logo and MTV Networks, Legendary Pictures, Technicolor-PostWorks New York, Skyscope Creative in Worcester, and WHDH-TV in Boston, as well as independent production companies in New York and London. Many international programs offer coursework in media studies and film production, and some students combine academic coursework with an internship during a single semester away. Recent destinations have included Perth, London, Stirling, Osaka, Seville, and Cape Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-film-festivals\">Film festivals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Student films from Clark&#8217;s Screen Studies program have been selected for competitive festivals including the Boston International Film Festival, the Burbank International Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, the Los Angeles CineFest, and many others across the United States and internationally. Getting work into festivals is a genuine professional milestone \u2014 and Clark students do it regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-organizations\">Student organizations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Clark University Film Society, the Clark University Players Society, STIR Magazine, and The Scarlet all offer ways to connect around shared creative and critical interests beyond the classroom. Student organizations are also a place to develop leadership skills and build the peer networks that often matter most after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-interdisciplinary-collaboration\">Interdisciplinary collaboration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upper-division screen studies courses place particular emphasis on collaboration across disciplines.
