{"id":17,"date":"2025-01-16T19:33:03","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T19:33:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.golive.clarku.edu\/student-accounts\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2026-04-02T20:39:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T20:39:35","slug":"withdrawal-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/student-accounts\/withdrawal-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Withdrawal Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns sidebar is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:45rem\">\n<p class=\"intro\">Students who officially withdraw or take an official leave of absence from Clark University are required to submit paperwork to the Dean of Student\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tuition and Fees Adjustment Policy covers these scenarios:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li><strong>Withdrawal or official leave of absence by the final day of add\/drop:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;A student who officially withdraws from the University, or takes a leave of absence by the final day of add\/drop, will receive a 100 percent refund on tuition and mandatory fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Withdrawal or official leave of absence after the second quarter of the semester:&nbsp;<\/strong>There is no reduction in charges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leaving because of a suspension, dismissal, or expulsion:<\/strong>&nbsp;If a student is suspended, dismissed, or expelled from the University, there will be no reduction in charges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Consider&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/student-accounts\/billing\/#tuition-insurance\">tuition insurance<\/a>&nbsp;to supplement and strengthen our&nbsp;refund policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only when withdrawal or official leave results in a credit balance on your student account will you be refunded.&nbsp; If the semester has not been paid in full, you may still owe the University money after withdrawal.&nbsp; Please see the refund schedule below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you receive any form of financial aid, we encourage you to connect with your financial aid counselor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-account-erefunds-through-touchnet\">Student account eRefunds through TouchNet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-electronic-refund-profile\">Electronic Refund Profile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Student account refunds are only delivered electronically via ACH direct deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have not done so already, please enroll in ACH direct deposit.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong><em>It\u2019s fast and easy!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Log on to&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prodssb.clarku.edu\/prod\/twbkwbis.P_GenMenu?name=bmenu.P_MainMnu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Clark You<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;username@clarku.edu&nbsp;and password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Main Menu<\/strong>&nbsp;from selections on left<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Registrar\u2019s Office, Student Account and Financial Aid<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Student Account Information<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>View and Pay Student Account<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the Electronic Refunds link in the&nbsp;<em>My Profile Setup&nbsp;<\/em>menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a credit balance on your account and you have not set up ACH direct deposit in TouchNet, we will hold the credit until you have set up your refund profile.&nbsp; If you prefer that we hold the credit for future charges, or have any questions, please contact your student account counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-university-payments\">Other university payments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All other payments to you, such as payroll, student club reimbursements, prizes, participant payments, etc. will continue to be processed by Clark using payment profiles set up in Banner. This means students may have <em>two<\/em> direct deposit profiles set up; one for student account refunds in TouchNet and another for all other university payments and
