Undergraduate Degree Completion Program

Education for success

For many, completion of an undergraduate degree has been interrupted by circumstances often beyond their control — an unforeseen event, a financial bump in the road, military duty, or other ways life can surprise us. Earning that credential could make a significant difference in career advancement or may be an important milestone of personal growth, adding depth to life experience.

The School of Professional Studies’ Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program awards the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree to eligible candidates who have started, but not finished, a four-year undergraduate degree. Our program emphasizes the vital connection between a sound liberal arts education and practical education that focuses on success in the non-profit and private sectors. Through the required course distribution, students receive a solid grounding in critical and creative thinking, oral and written expression, and approaches to effective problem solving in various fields. The School of Professional Studies Undergraduate Degree Completion Program also offers a wide range of professionally-oriented courses.

Convenient scheduling for busy adults

The School of Professional Studies’ Undergraduate Degree Completion Program is designed to meet the needs of adults who are interested in continuing their education. Courses, which are offered on weekday evenings, attract those who wish to pursue a degree in person and those who seek professional or personal enrichment. Some courses are offered online and in hybrid formats. Students receive a broad liberal arts background and specialized knowledge through a major.

Student profile

The School of Professional Studies undergraduate students come from a broad range of backgrounds: community college students looking to learn more, international students looking to fulfill their dreams, adult learners with career experience, entrepreneurs, and veterans. Each student has their own story to tell.

All of our domestic and international students have previously earned college credits from community college, other four-year institutions in the U.S. or abroad, or military experience.

Many of our students qualify for, and receive, financial assistance from federal financial aid or scholarships.

Personalized programs

A matter of emphasis distinguishes our professional undergraduate degrees. The bachelor of science degree provides a flexible array of professionally-oriented majors that encourage students to combine liberal arts and career interests.

The choice of a major is based on a unique combination of the student’s desire for personal growth and enrichment, professional development or career considerations, and fascination with a subject area. Recognizing that students may want assistance with their choices, the School of Professional Studies provides extensive academic advising. Students are encouraged to create an academic plan with an adviser once they enroll.

Programs we offer:

* STEM Designated Program: International students who graduate with a STEM degree today may be eligible to remain in the U.S. for up to 36 months on Optional Practical Training (OPT).
