When Venkat Peram was named an instructor in the School of Professional Studies at Clark, the news spread fast back home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI come from a small village in India, so becoming a teacher in the United States is a big moment for me and my family, and a source of pride for our community,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

Is Peram enjoying his transition to the new role? \u201cTrust me, it is a divine feeling to teach. I\u2019m grateful to Clark for allowing me to offer a course that is quite different,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy students are gaining timely knowledge on cloud applications, and it\u2019s going to be a game-changer for them,\u201d Peram says this opportunity underscores how open and supportive Clark is. \u201cIf you have a good idea, they will provide the platform for you to implement it.”<\/p>\n

“If you are innovative and creative, Clark is the place for you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Working with the School of Professional Studies is the latest in Peram\u2019s stream of achievements at Clark. \u201cHave I had \u2018aha\u2019 moments at Clark? Yes! I finished my master\u2019s degree in one year, organized the first cricket tournament in Clark\u2019s history, introduced new initiatives as a Student Peer Advisor, secured a full-time job, and now I\u2019m working in the School of Professional Studies,\u201d he says. \u201cI think I have had more \u2018aha\u2019 moments at Clark than anyone!\u201d<\/p>\n

He credits his current success to his experiences at Clark and Richard Aroian, Assistant Dean at the School of Professional Studies and Peram\u2019s mentor while he was earning his degree. \u201cComing to the United States is a great learning experience,\u201d he says, \u201cand the work I\u2019m doing now is all because of the exposure I got through Clark.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than one parent in Peram\u2019s native India has asked him where their son or daughter should go to pursue their master\u2019s degree. \u201cI recommend Clark one hundred percent,\u201d he says. \u201cI tell them Clark provides the academics and resources you need to land your dream job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Or in Venkat\u2019s case, dream jobs<\/em>.<\/p>\n
