Active Shooter/Critical Incident Survival

In an on-going effort to keep the Clark University community educated in safety related matters, University Police, in conjunction with Human Resources and the Business Manager, offer a training session on how to survive a critical incident/active shooter situation several times throughout the academic year. While the possibility of an active shooter at Clark is remote, knowing how to react to an active shooter situation will increase chances of survival should such an incident occur. The primary presenter of the program is Clark University Officer Efrain Diaz, who has extensive training in active shooter response.

Week One Activities

On Move-In Day, Chief Misale, University Police Officers, and Rapid Response Squad Members meet with the parents of students for a Q & A session. Crime prevention officers meet with all incoming students about services offered and crime safety information. This session is mandatory for all first-year students.
