The Crisis in Ukraine

Dear Faculty, Students, and Staff,

The images and news coming out of Ukraine are gut-wrenching. Our thoughts are with everyone who is affected by the mounting crisis, especially members of our community who have personal connections to the region. Our CARE Team has been connecting with our students who may be impacted to make sure they have the support they need. If you are struggling, we have University resources available to all of our students, faculty and staff. Details are shared below. Please reach out.

At times like this, one of our great strengths as a University is the opportunity to learn and deepen our understanding through scholarship. We hope you will join us next Thursday for a University-wide, faculty-led discussion at which Clark scholars of Russian politics and international relations will address the global significance of the Ukraine-Russia crisis. We will be gathering in-person with the opportunity to join remotely by zoom, as well.

Resources

Students in need of support can contact the Dean of Students office at DOS@Clarku.edu or the Dean of Students CARE Team. Professional counselors at the Center for Counseling and Personal Growth are also available. We also encourage international students to reach out to the International Center for additional resources.

Faculty and staff who feel they need support may contact New Directions, our employee assistance program (EAP), through the online portal, company code: Clark University.

As a University, we support peace and hope that combined international efforts will prevent this crisis from worsening.
