The safety escort service is one of the best transportation methods to get to places around campus. This service is run completely by students and works closely with University Police to ensure a safe ride for all. The service runs from 4pm-4am, 7 days/week during the academic year. Call the dispatcher at 1-508-793-7777 or using the extension x7777 from an on-campus phone. Request an escort by providing the pick-up and drop-off locations of your ride. The dispatcher will provide you with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for your call. Make sure to be outside or in place where you can see the van when you ETA is up. It is possible for you to keep track of where you van is using the campus van tracker.
The Escort vans can take you anywhere within a quarter mile radius of campus. This includes, but is not limited to:
- On and off campus residences
- Restaurants such as De Lat, Peppercorn’s, McDonalds, Red Pepper, Uncle Sam’s Pizza, Bahn Thai, Ho Toy, Applebee’s, Chickpea, and many more!
- Coffee Shops: Dunkin Donuts, Acoustic Java, Dippin Donuts, and Boston Donuts
- Pharmacies and Grocery Stores: Price Chopper, Big Y, Living Earth, CVS, Walgreens, Honey Farms, and many more!
Please refer to the map of Escort’s range if you are unsure if the service will take you to your desired location.
