If you plan to work in the United States, you must obtain a government-issued Social Security Number (SSN) for tax-reporting purposes. A Social Security Number may be requested when setting up bank or cell phone accounts.

Planning to drive a car while in the United States? Learn how to apply for a Massachusetts Driver’s License. NOTE: Applicants must be able to prove that they are eligible to be in Massachusetts for at least 12 months after the date of application.  Apply early.
