You can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/clarku.joinhandshake.com\/appointments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">make an appointment<\/a> with a career adviser to ask questions, build a job or internship search strategy, and learn how to navigate the resources available to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Campus Resources<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/international-center\/student-support\/undocumented-daca-tps-students\/\">The International Center<\/a>\u00a0at Clark University supports the development and education of undocumented students and students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or Temporary Protected Status (TPS) from admission through graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Employment Rights<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/working-united-states\/working-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S. Citizenship &amp; Immigration Services<\/a>\u00a0provides a summary of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa classifications and other categories of aliens who are eligible for employment authorization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nilc.org\/issues\/daca\/about-daca-and-employment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Immigration Law Center \u2013 About DACA and Employment<\/a>\u00a0provides answers to frequently asked questions such as \u201cHow do I know when my work permit expires?\u201d, \u201cShould I tell my employer if my DACA and work authorization expires?\u201d, \u201cCan my employer ask to see my work permit again?\u201d, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nilc.org\/issues\/workersrights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Immigration Law Center \u2013 Workers\u2019 Rights<\/a>\u00a0provides links to information on workers\u2019 rights and safety, worksite immigration enforcement, employment eligibility verification and discrimination, social security numbers and \u201cno-match\u201d letters, E-verify: Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification, and workers\u2019 rights and access to lawful status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/employees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission<\/a>\u00a0enforces\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/laws-guidance-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination<\/a>. These laws protect you against employment discrimination when it involves unfair treatment; harassment by managers, co-workers, or others in your workplace; denial of a reasonable workplace accommodation; and retaliation because you complained about job discrimination or assisted with a job discrimination investigation or lawsuit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Career Options<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.uconnectlabs.com\/www-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2020\/09\/DREAMer-Friendly-Companies-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DREAMer-Friendly Companies<\/a>\u00a0is a list of companies who either signed a 2020 pro-DACA amicus brief submitted to the Supreme Court of The United States or are TheDream.US Employer Partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/immigrantsrising.org\/www-content\/uploads\/Immigrants-Rising_5-Tips-to-Get-Started-as-an-Independent-Contractor-or-Freelancer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5 Tips to Get Started as an Independent Contractor\/Freelancer<\/a>\u00a0helps those without work authorization status create employment opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/immigrantsrising.org\/resource\/income-and-career-options-for-undocumented-students-how-colleges-can-help-webinar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Income and Career Options for Undocumented Students<\/a>\u00a0is a webinar for campus staff and faculty who want to understand and explore the career, income, and funding options available to undocumented students and alumni who may not have work authorization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Funding and Scholarships<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/immigrantsrising.org\/resource\/undergraduate-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Immigrant Rising Scholarships<\/a>\u00a0lists scholarships for undergraduate studies that don\u2019t require proof of citizenship or legal permanent residency. This up-to-date list, organized by deadline date, contains local, state, and national scholarships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldendoorscholars.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Golden Door Scholars<\/a>\u00a0was founded in 2013 to promote economic mobility for undocumented students by partnering with schools to cover tuition, room, and board for a four-year degree. Golden Door Scholars also have access to mentors, internship and job search support, and other professional growth opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsf.net\/scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hispanic Scholarship Fund<\/a>\u00a0awards scholarships that range from $500-$5,000. HSF Scholars have access to a full range of invaluable Scholar Support Services, including career services, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training. Their website features a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigrantsrising.org\/start-here\/making-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Making Money<\/a>\u00a0section which shows students how to earn money by building their own businesses and working for themselves regardless of immigration status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mydocumentedlife.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Undocumented Life<\/a>\u00a0provides up-to-date information and resources for undocumented students, their families, and allies (including educators, counselors, and administrators).
