The site was created to help reduce the high rate of unemployment in Black communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdiversity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">African-American Village<\/a>\u00a0is a network of websites, job boards, magazines, and diversity resources for the African American community. It also features related articles and identifies employers who value diversity in the workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Professional Organizations<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Society of Black Engineers supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blacksintechnology.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Blacks In Technology<\/a>\u00a0is the largest community and media organization that focuses on Black women and Black men in the technology industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abpsi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Association of Black Psychologists<\/a>\u00a0promotes and advances the profession of African American Psychology, influences and affects social change, and develops programs where psychologists of African descent can assist in solving problems of Black communities and other ethnic groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorcommnetwork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ColorComm<\/a>\u00a0is an essential organization for women of color in all areas of communications including public relations, corporate communications, advertising print media, broadcast, digital, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africanamericancareers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Association of Blacks in Energy<\/a>\u00a0is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensuring the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies, regulations, R&amp;D technologies, and environmental issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ncbw.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Coalition of 100 Black Women<\/a>\u00a0advocates on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Entrepreneurship<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business Grants for African Americans offers information for African American entrepreneurs, who may qualify for a business grant at the national or state level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/helloalice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hello Alice<\/a>\u00a0is a technology platform that helps businesses launch and grow by providing access to funding, networks, and services. The platform runs a funding and mentoring program called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/helloalice.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Business for All<\/a>, which provides grants of up to $50,000 to support diverse small business owners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Funding and Scholarships<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackscholarships.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Scholarships<\/a>\u00a0is an online directory of scholarships and financial aid opportunities for African American and other minority students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronbrown.org\/section\/apply\/program-description\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ron Brown Scholarship Program<\/a>\u00a0honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown (the first African American appointed to the U.S. Cabinet post of Secretary of Commerce) through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/oedb.org\/african-american-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Open Education Database, African American Scholarships<\/a>\u00a0refers students to scholarship programs that are only available to African American students, or those of African American or African descent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholarships.com\/financial-aid\/college-scholarships\/scholarship-directory\/race\/african-american\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">African American Scholarships<\/a>\u00a0offers a substantial list of scholarship opportunities for African Americans at educational institutions. Some scholarships are localized, but the majority offered are nationwide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brownandcaldwell.com\/careers\/minority-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brown and Caldwell, Minority Scholarships<\/a>\u00a0offers $5,000 Minority Scholarships to support minority students who are interested in pursuing a career in the environmental profession.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uncf.org\/scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">United Negro College Fund<\/a>\u00a0is the nation\u2019s largest private scholarship provider to minority group members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/baucemag.com\/minority-women-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">100+ College and Grad School Scholarships for Women of Color in the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0is a curated list of scholarships targeted toward multicultural women of African and Latin descent who are enrolled as undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of academic disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithsonianofi.com\/minority-internship-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smithsonian Institution Minority Internship Program<\/a>\u00a0is a 10-week internship opportunity. Interns work in the summer, fall, or spring on research or museum-related projects under the supervision of museum staff members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Career Publications<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eop.com\/mags-AACW.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">African-American Career World<\/a>\u00a0is a publication that includes career strategies, industry trends, and role-model profiles that target the African American community. It serves as a link between students and professionals who are African American and the employers that seek to hire them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/blackeoejournal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal<\/a>\u00a0is America\u2019s leading African American business and career magazine.
