Please note that these factors are not unique to one society, but rather represent a cross section of countries and continents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/access.vault.com\/blogs\/international-students-careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vault\u2019s Career Advice Blog for International Students<\/a>&nbsp;has expert advice on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, and other issues pertaining to international students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powerties.net\/blog-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Power Ties<\/a>, a blog by Dan Beaudry, has information on searching for jobs as an international student, tips for finding postgraduate employment in the United States, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The International Advantage helps international students stand out, showcase their strengths, live in their authenticity, and secure jobs in the United States. Author Marcelo Barros hosts a podcast and blog with helpful resources, strategies, and solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Interviewing<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/career.berkeley.edu\/find-opportunities\/internships\/finding-an-international-internship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Interviewing for a U.S. Employer<\/a>&nbsp;is a guide put together by the University of California, Berkeley, specifically to help international students with the job and internship interview process.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1StAhgiJ2Kc?rel=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Watch this short workshop<\/a>&nbsp;to learn more about discussing work authorization with employers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Find a Job, Internship, or Fellowship<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myvisajobs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Visa Jobs<\/a>&nbsp;hosts a curated list, updated annually, of employers accepting H-1B visa holders, with information about work authorization and employment opportunities for international students and foreign nationals who want to live and work in the U.S. and Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/careerforum.net\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Career Forum<\/a>&nbsp;is a staple job-hunting tool for Japanese-English bilinguals seeking employment, especially in Japan. Career Forum hosts company-based information sessions and job fairs with a chance for in-person interviews with organizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.gov\/sevis\/whats-new#tab2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Top 200 Employers for CPT and OPT Students<\/a>, a list of employers hiring international students, is managed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement\u2019s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). The latest published information includes the top 200 employers in 2018 for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.gov\/doclib\/sevis\/pdf\/data_Top200_EmployersSTEM_OPT_Students2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OPT<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.gov\/doclib\/sevis\/pdf\/data_Top200_EmployersCPT_Students2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CPT<\/a>&nbsp;students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/clarku.joinhandshake.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Handshake<\/a>&nbsp;allows you to search for jobs and internships by work authorization requirements (\u201cAccepts OPT\/CPT\u201d or \u201cWilling to Sponsor\u201d).&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.joinhandshake.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/115015978207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read this article<\/a>&nbsp;for an overview on how to enter (or decline to answer) your work authorization status, filter by work authorization requirements, and what it means to either set your work authorization or \u201cdecline to answer\u201d for job postings and virtual fairs. You can also watch&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Fg5eHjJn0V0&amp;feature=emb_title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this short video<\/a>&nbsp;to learn about managing your work authorization on Handshake.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-verify.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">E-Verify<\/a>&nbsp;is an online program run by the U.S. government. It is primarily used by employers to check employee records, but you can use E-Verify to search for employers that provide work authorization and\/or sponsorship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-style-info is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Networking<\/summary>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/groups\/4509171\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The National Career Development Association (NCDA) International Student Services Committee (ISSC)<\/a>&nbsp;aims to increase the understanding of career development experiences and the needs of international students.
