Graduate Orientation

Director’s Welcome

Welcome to the American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI) at Clark University! We are so excited to have you join our Graduate Pathway or English for Academic Success Programs. During the time leading up to the first day of class, our staff is here to help and answer any questions you may have.

While you are studying at ALCI, we hope you take advantage of the many opportunities we offer outside of class to practice your English skills and meet new people. We hold weekly skills sessions as well as coffee hours and day trips where you can meet with students across campus. We look forward to continuing our new Peer Mentor program, which will give you individualized mentorship with a returning Clark student and opportunities to meet other ALCI students.

Soon, you will receive personalized invitations to Clark’s International Student Orientation and ALCI’s Departmental Orientation as well as other fun activities to help you learn about Clark and Worcester.

We look forward to meeting you in August — online or in person!
