What&#8217;s the best way to make friends? How do I find my way around campus and Worcester? On this episode of <strong>Challenge. Change.<\/strong>, Assistant Provost of Student Success and Dean of Students <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/success\/people\/danielle-morgan-acosta\/\">Danielle Morgan Acosta<\/a> \u201905, MAT \u201906, and Hannah Oh \u201927, CDP \u201928, offer their best advice for navigating the transition to college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;When I first came to campus, because I was so homesick, I kept pushing myself into that hole of, &#8216;I just want to do what&#8217;s comfortable for myself.&#8217; But the shift that I experienced of actually feeling like Clark is another home for me was when I started trying more difficult things and going outside of my comfort zone,&#8221; recalls Oh, who majors in biochemistry and molecular biology, minors in health, science and society, has a concentration in ethics and public policy, and is part of the Prehealth Advising Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group alignright boxout has-white-color has-dark-purple-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-bfbe1f19fe1205ecd095b27cd0560a50 is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-12dd3699 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Get involved in one of Clark\u2019s more than 100 clubs and organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-a89b3969 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-dark-purple-color has-light-purple-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/engage.clarku.edu\/\">explore your passions<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Acosta encourages students to routinely expand their horizons as they get acclimated to life at Clark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Transition is a psychological process, and it takes time,&#8221; she says. &#8220;Absorb feeling okay in the uncomfortability, because that is growth and learning, and there are good things that come from it &#8230; I challenge every student to do one thing that&#8217;s different or outside of their comfort zone every week if they can.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Challenge.
