Twelve Clark University <\/a>undergraduate and graduate students, and one Clark alumnus, returned from another successful International Field Experience with staff from Seven Hills Global Outreach <\/a>over Spring Break 2010. The group spent 10 days in São Paulo, Brazil, exploring the concept of Social Entrepreneurship through the guidance of Clark Graduate School of Management <\/a>Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence David Jordan<\/a>. On this trip, social entrepreneurship was experienced through the veil of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the United Nations Millennium Development Goal as it relates to Equal Educational Opportunities in Brazil. Seven Hills Global Outreach formed a partnership with CIAM, an organization that supports children and adults with significant life challenges. The group learned about Ashoka, an organization that allows social entrepreneurs to thrive and enables the world’s citizens to think and act as changemakers, and met with two distinguished Ashoka Fellows, Carla Mauch and Rodrigo Mendes.
